'Nestled at a corner of Blk 49 next to the Tanglin Halt Market, Peking Room coffeeshop accommodates two stalls - Tanglin Halt Roti Prata & Nasi Briyani, as well as a Fried Carrot Cake stall. Tanglin Halt Roti Prata & Nasi Briyani is a family business that has been established for more than 2 decades by Mr Gani. The first thing one sees and hears when they arrive at the coffeeshop in the morning are the sights and sounds of prata making. Besides their roti prata that has won the heart of many patrons, the stall also offers Nasi Briyani, that starts to sell at around 11am. Operating hours: 5am - 3pm Open daily Mr and Mrs Chow have been in the business of selling fried carrot cake for the last 2 decades. Their carrot cake is first fried with seasoning, then coated with egg, and pan fried till lightly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside.
